Black Liquid Art brings together a curated body of contemporary voices from Africa and its diasporas, alongside a small core of international artists whose work sustains a lasting engagement with the continent, whether through subject matter, materials, collaborative relationships or long-term research. The gallery works both with artists it represents on an ongoing basis and with figures invited for specific projects. Across painting, sculpture, textile practices and mixed languages, you can browse the biographical profiles and view the works available.

Alongside artists born or active in Africa and those belonging to the diasporas, this selection may welcome non-African artists whose practice retains a genuine bond with the continent: a bond that runs through the subjects they address, their technical processes, the materials they employ, their creative partnerships or paths of study pursued over the long term.
