Cheri Samba RDC, 1956
In the work entitled "Maitre Picasso au travail" Picasso is represented painting; Samba portrays himself sitting on a chair with a friend who observe them as if they were at a show, all taken by a camera placed on the right of the composition.
The great master Picasso is a subject often depicted in the works of Samba and represents a trait d’union between Western art and traditional African art.
