Jeremiah Ludaka (b. 1993, Lusaka) is a conceptual figurative artist based in Lusaka, at the very beginning of a singular path. His work centres on "zambianus", an imagined fusion of human and giraffe genetics: elongated figures whose grace and elevated gaze become a metaphor for Zambia itself, a wealthy landlocked country whose people, like the giraffe, must learn to see beyond immediate circumstances. In his personal iconography the giraffe embodies higher perspective, foresight, calm strength and the courage of individuality, while its coat pattern speaks of the interconnection of all living beings. Raised in an orphanage, where art classes became his refuge, Ludaka considers creation a deeply therapeutic act, and through his work he gives voice to the experience of orphaned children.
He has taken part in group exhibitions with Luna Art Gallery, including a collective exhibition in Lima, Peru (2026). He lives and works in Lusaka.
