"Who are you who does not know yourself?"

Franck Kemkeng Noah (b. 1992, Yaoundé, Cameroon) is a multidisciplinary artist working between painting, sculpture, installation and interactive performance, based in France. Trained at the Institut des Beaux-Arts de Foumban, he moved to Amiens in 2017 for a research Master's degree, where he began painting on old rugs and transforming abandoned household objects into sculptures that narrate the history of migration. His practice, described as hybrid art, draws on the fusion between his Cameroonian traditional heritage and the cultures encountered through globalization and immigration, creating what he calls a palace of memory, a concept inspired by Oswald de Andrade's Brazilian Anthropophagy. Interculturalism, identity and the blending of human civilizations are at the heart of his vibrant aesthetic investigation.
